COURAGE | The Church At Bethel

Thinking about this thing called courage . I remember the lion on the Wizard of Oz lacked courage . We see courage in different things , like a little tiny dog growling and pouncing at a huge dog that could take one chomp and put it out for the count . Or cliff diver , timing the wave coming in so they don't hit the bottom of the sea . Some may even say it takes courage to ride a mototcycle .

I thought of a person speaking in front of a multitude of people or a young child in front of a congregation performing in the churches Christmas play . As Christians we should have a good knowledge of just what having courage is . The 23rd Psalm is a great picture of how to walk with courage .

1 Corinthians 15:58

"Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain."

I could probably just go on and on with scriptures to show just how important it is to be a courageous Christian . Remember we have more people than we can even fathom , watching us and how we adjust to all kinds of adversities. But if we continue to walk in the Lord and talk to our Savior and seek the face of our God . Then we will truly be able to surpass any test that is thrown our way . So be as Job and stay true to the Father .
